Must-Have Skills: Candidate should be handling commodities like Casting & Sheet Metal
JOB PURPOSE:
This position exists to manage the Supplier Quality Function of Company products & Improve Product Reliability
RESPONSIBILITY:
- Handling Pix Powerware suppliers related to Casting & Sheet metal commodities.
- System audit & process audit at all identified suppliers as per plan, On-time closure of observations.
- Performance monitoring and review of critical suppliers. Perform a Monthly Quality Development Meeting with worst worst-performing suppliers.
- Ensuring a reduction in Line rejection / PDI rejection/field rejection due to supplier issues.
- Monthly communication with identified suppliers regarding concerns, change management & performance.
- Improve supplier capability for Manufacturing, Quality, Cost & Delivery.
- Support supplier selection through robust qualification processes. Perform Vendor PPAP as per the plan
- Conduct benchmarking studies to determine best practices/designs and future trends.
- Work collaboratively with suppliers to resolve supplier complaints related to bought-out parts and ensure closure reports are submitted against the critical complaints reported from the field.
- Responsible for the use of relevant PPE during an audit for safety.
