Senior Design Engineer

Job Description:

• 5+ years of experience with the design, analysis, and testing of structural components for Special Purpose Machines like Saw Cutter machine, Special bending machine, small road rollers, skid steer loaders, small asphalt pavers, small road milling machines, and trowel machines.
• Lead and manage the design team in the development of specialized machines, tools, or automation solutions, ensuring they meet client specifications and industry standards.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams (including engineers, product managers, manufacturing staff), vendors, and clients to ensure effective communication and successful project execution.
• Experience with design tools, GD&T, FMEA, dimensional tolerance stack-ups and various standards
• Ensure all designs adhere to industry standards, regulations, and safety requirements.
• Design expertise in structural components including conceptual design, detailed design, testing, validation, and product implementation.
• Hands on experience in CREO, UG NX, Solidworks and Team center exposure to the application
• Should have worked in ECN, ECO for product improvement (Sustaining Engineering)
• Make specifications, complete the design, and analyze structural components and assemblies in support of the development and refinement for special purpose machines used in road construction industry.
• Hands on manufacturing of the special purpose machines used in road construction industry by applying the design and technical aspects with economical manufacturing.
• Knowledge of Powertrain and other mechanisms used for various applications by using powertrain would be an added advantage.
• Working with development engineers for refining functional characteristics of the structural components
• Should be skilled at selection of standard components (Electric motor, gearbox, coupling, hydraulic cylinders, power packs & valves)
• Should have good knowledge of manufacturing processes & Design requirement for the same.
• Good understanding of design tools like DFMEA, DFA, DFS and Excellent clarity on Engine Fundamentals
• Should be skilled at 2D layout, 3D modeling, and assembly and be aware of the techniques and methods of virtual validation
