QC/Quality Manager – Metal Industry

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement quality control processes and procedures.
• Monitor production processes to ensure quality standards are maintained.
• Conduct product inspections, testing, and quality audits.
• Inspect raw materials and finished products for defects or deviations.
• Conduct physical, chemical, and functional testing as required.
• Use quality inspection tools such as Vernier calipers, Gauges, hardness testers, Spectro Machine, etc.
• Identify quality issues and ensure corrective and preventive actions are taken.
• Prepare and maintain quality reports, inspection reports, and test records.
• Prepare and follow up on NCRs (Non-Conformance Reports).
• Ensure proper documentation of testing procedures and results.
• Coordinate with Production, Engineering, and Management teams to resolve quality issues.
• Support ISO 9001 and third-party audits.
• Ensure compliance with applicable industry standards and regulations.
• Train team members on quality standards and procedures.
• Promote quality and safety practices across the workplace.
• Perform any other duties assigned by the reporting manager.

Required Skills:

• Knowledge of materials, pipes, fittings, plates, and steel products.
• Good understanding of quality inspection and testing processes.
• Knowledge of QA/QC documentation and NCR handling.
• Experience with measuring and inspection equipment.
• Knowledge of manufacturing/production processes.
• Steel fittings industry experience will be an advantage.

Candidate Profile:

A Mechanical Engineer/Diploma holder with 3–5 years of experience in production/manufacturing and quality control, preferably from the steel fittings industry, with practical knowledge of material inspection, testing, documentation, and quality standards.
