Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement effective procurement strategies for construction-related purchases. Source, negotiate, and finalize contracts with vendors, suppliers, and subcontractors. Evaluate supplier performance based on quality standards, delivery time & best prices. Manage inventory levels and ensure timely delivery of materials to construction sites. Coordinate with Project Managers, Site Engineers & Accounts for purchase planning. Prepare cost estimates, budgets, and purchase orders in line with project requirements. Ensure compliance with legal, quality, and safety standards in procurement processes. Track procurement KPIs and generate regular reports for management. Maintain updated records of purchased products, delivery information, and invoices. Identify new vendors and alternate sources to reduce cost and improve efficiency.
Desired Candidate Profile:
Proven experience as a Purchase Manager or in a similar procurement role (preferably in construction). Strong knowledge of building materials, construction equipment & market trends. Excellent negotiation, communication & vendor management skills. Familiarity with procurement software, MS Office & ERP systems (if any). Ability to handle multiple site locations and manage logistics.
Qualification & Experience:
Graduate in any stream (B.Com / BBA / B.Tech preferred). MBA in Supply Chain / Materials Management (preferred, not mandatory). Experience: 5 to 10 years in construction/infrastructure procurement.
