Job Purpose

The Site/Project Engineer – Electrical will be responsible for supervising, executing, and monitoring all electrical works at the project site in line with approved drawings, specifications, and safety standards. The role ensures timely project completion, quality execution, and coordination with all stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute electrical works at the site as per GFC drawings, BOQs, and project specifications.

• Supervise installation, testing, and commissioning of electrical systems including LT panels, DBs, cabling, lighting, power outlets, earthing, etc.

• Coordinate daily activities with contractors, vendors, consultants, and client engineers.

• Monitor work progress, prepare daily progress reports, and plan manpower deployment.

• Verify incoming electrical materials, check quality, and ensure proper storage as per standards.

• Carry out site measurements and material take-offs, and track material consumption.

• Ensure strict adherence to electrical safety standards, PPE compliance, and site safety protocols.

• Raise RFIs, conduct internal quality checks, and assist during third-party inspections.

• Attend coordination meetings with civil, mechanical, and other service teams to resolve clashes and execution issues.

• Maintain documentation including as-built drawings, testing & commissioning records, and material reconciliation statements.

• Monitor subcontractor performance and proactively escalate delays, quality issues, or risks to the Project Manager.

Key Skills & Competencies

• Strong knowledge of electrical systems such as LT panels, DBs, cabling, earthing, and lighting.

• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, BOQs, and technical specifications.

• Hands-on experience in site execution, material management, and subcontractor coordination.

• Good understanding of electrical safety practices, QA/QC standards, and compliance norms.

• Effective communication, reporting, and documentation skills.

Qualifications & Experience

• Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Electrical Engineering.

• 2–4 years of relevant experience in electrical site execution (commercial, residential, industrial, or infrastructure projects preferred).
