Electrical Application & Costing Engineer (EPC)

Job Overview

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Electrical Application & Costing Engineer to support our design, estimation, and project bidding activities. The role involves preparing accurate electrical cost estimates, BOQs, and technical proposals while coordinating with design, procurement, and project teams. This position is ideal for freshers or candidates with up to 2 years of experience in electrical estimation.

Roles & Responsibilities

1. Estimation & Costing

• Analyze tender documents, drawings, SLDs, and specifications for preparing electrical estimates.

• Prepare BOQs, pricing sheets, and cost summaries for Design-Build, EPC, and turnkey projects.

• Conduct rate analysis and prepare detailed cost breakdowns.

2. Coordination & Vendor Management

• Coordinate with suppliers/vendors for pricing, technical details, and quotations.

• Support project and BD teams during bidding, negotiations, and post-tender clarifications.

3. Technical Support

• Assist in system design, equipment selection, and value engineering to propose cost-effective solutions.

• Visit project sites when required to understand technical requirements.

4. Documentation & Reporting

• Prepare and submit high-quality technical and commercial proposals.

• Maintain updated databases of material costs, vendor contacts, and estimation tools.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering.

• Strong understanding of HT/LT distribution, lighting, power, ELV, BMS, and fire alarm systems.

• Ability to read electrical drawings, SLDs, and schematics.

• Proficiency in MS Excel and AutoCAD.

• Good communication, documentation, and presentation skills.

• Knowledge of IS/IEC/NEC standards preferred.

• 0–2 years of experience in electrical estimation/tendering in EPC or contracting (preferred).
