Position Name: DevOps Architect

Experience: 10+ years

Location: Nagpur & Pune

Industry: IT Service & Consulting.

What is this role about?

The DevOps architect designs and manages systems that allow developers and IT teams to build, test, and release software quickly, securely, and reliably. They make sure everything runs smoothly—from code to deployment.

Key Expectations:

  • Build automated, secure, and scalable systems.

  • Set DevOps standards and best practices for the whole company.

  • Lead big changes like CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and DevSecOps.

  • Make sure tech plans match business needs.

  • Help and guide other technical team members.

Key Responsibilities

Architecture & Strategy
Design DevOps systems that work across multiple cloud platforms (like AWS, Azure).
Use modern deployment methods like GitOps and zero-downtime updates.
Create reusable plans that can be used for many projects.
Platform & Governance
Set platform rules and security standards.
Ensure systems meet industry certifications (like SOC2, HIPAA).
Regularly check the systems for risks or gaps.
Tools & Tech
Choose and manage the right tools for DevOps.
Connect tools like monitoring systems (Datadog, Prometheus) and security tools (Snyk, Trivy).
Support a culture of security and automation.
Team Collaboration
Guide leaders on DevOps investments and risks.
Mentor engineers and help teams follow best practices.
Work closely with all teams to ensure smooth operations.
Skills Required
Technical Skills
Deep knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
Expert in tools like Kubernetes, Helm, Terraform, ArgoCD.
Strong in automation, security, and system reliability.
Leadership Skills
Strategic thinker with hands-on experience.
Good at leading teams and explaining complex ideas simply.
Strong communication and decision-making skills.
 Training & Certifications (Recommended)
Cloud Architect Certification (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
Kubernetes Security Specialist
DevOps leadership courses
Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) advanced training
DevSecOps & Risk Management programs
