Branch Manager – Gold Loan

You will head the branch and be fully accountable for its business growth, customers, team, gold and cash custody, compliance and profitability, while ensuring every transaction follows RBI regulations and Company policy.

Key Responsibilities

• Business growth: Achieve targets for new customers, disbursements and AUM; map the local catchment and run local marketing and referral activities; drive renewals, top-ups and takeover business.
• Credit discipline: Sanction loans strictly within credit policy and delegated limits; supervise gold appraisal and escalate doubtful or spurious gold.
• KYC & disbursal: Ensure complete KYC and documentation; follow cash disbursal limits under Section 269SS of the Income Tax Act.
• Gold & cash custody: Act as joint vault custodian under dual control; ensure daily vault and cash balancing and correct release of ornaments.
• Collections: Follow up on overdue and matured accounts as per the Fair Practices Code; support the auction process.
• Customer service: Deliver fast, transparent service and resolve complaints within prescribed timelines.
• Team & branch: Lead the branch team; keep the branch secure, presentable and always audit-ready; submit daily MIS.

Preferred Qualifications

• Must have: Hands-on gold appraisal and purity-testing skills; sound knowledge of gold loan products, KYC and RBI norms.
• Preferred: Current Branch Manager, Assistant Branch Manager or Senior Gold Appraiser in a gold loan NBFC or bank.
• Local: Candidate from, or with strong market knowledge of, the location applied for.
• Skills: Strong local sales and relationship ability; team leadership; discipline in cash and documentation; basic computer skills.
• Language: Fluent Marathi and Hindi; working knowledge of English.
• Attributes: High integrity, customer focus, willingness to do field work; able to join at the earliest, within a maximum of 30 days.
