Senior Backend Engineer (AI-Focused)

Role Overview: We are building AI-enabled healthcare SaaS platforms serving US healthcare organizations. Our products combine strong backend engineering with applied AI to drive automation, clinical workflows, and operational efficiency. We are seeking an experienced Backend Engineer with active AI development experience who thrives in a high-ownership, execution-focused environment.

• Design and build scalable backend systems using Python
• Develop production-grade APIs (FastAPI or Django)
• Design database schemas and optimize queries
• Validate and improve AI-generated code
• Collaborate with US-based leadership and product teams
• Own features end-to-end from design to deployment

AI Experience (Mandatory):

• Minimum 3+ months of AI-assisted development
• Experience with tools like ChatGPT, GPT-4/4o, Claude, Copilot, or Cursor
• Ability to write prompts, evaluate AI output, debug AI-generated code, and identify risks

Required Skills:

• 5+ years of backend development experience
• Strong Python expertise
• FastAPI or Django
• PostgreSQL or other relational databases
• AWS (EC2, RDS, S3, IAM preferred)
• Docker and Git
• Strong spoken English communication

Preferred Experience:

• OpenAI API / LLM integrations
• Automation systems
• Healthcare SaaS, EMR/EHR, Revenue Cycle Management, or US healthcare workflows
