Technical Support Engineer
Position: Technical Support Engineer
Location: Nagpur, Maharashtra
Industry Type: Automobile
Minimum Experience: 5 years in technical services/product support/maintenance (preferably in automotive or belt/drive systems)
JOB PURPOSE:
Leverage skills and technical knowledge in contribution towards enhancing customer satisfaction and growing business through effective communication and coordination with all process stakeholders. Learn, develop, and grow through gaining deeper product and application knowledge.
Help raise the standard of technical proficiency on products across the organization by training/mentoring other members of the Company.
RESPONSIBILITY:
1 Product Feasibility handling for Power Transmission Belts and related Metal Products.
2 Field visits for application solutions and/or complaint handing
3 Coordinating with internal process stakeholder for complaint closure and containment/corrective action implementation
4 Product training to new joinees; refresher trainings for other team members; Technical seminars for customers
5 Conducting Customer satisfaction survey and preparing report for ISO & other Audits
6 Assisting the Sales and Marketing team in developing of new business opportunities with technical support
7 Establishing, recording, and maintaining product cross-references against prototype samples, product specifications and/or drawing, and by conducting online research
8 Hosting and coordinating Company visits by customers and other third-party auditing entities
9 Preparing, recording and maintaining Technical product specification sheets preparation for ready reference
10 Assisting MR in preparing necessary process documents for reporting and inspection for Auditors [ISO/EHS/QMS/IMS /IATF]
11 Following up on product performance related to application engineering and/or test samples sent to customers
12 Preparing product drawing and spec sheet using M’soft application suite
13 Researching, writing, and presenting application/technical notes
Eligibility:
- BE / B.Tech. Mechanical (Preferred)
- Minimum 5 years’ relevant experience
- Strong communication and stakeholder coordination skills
- Preferably familiar with automotive/mechanical power transmission products (e.g., V-belts, timing belts, etc.)
