Coordinate with planning to ensure daily production aligns with set targets.
Organize and manage manufacturing workflows and resources for effective work allotment to all workers.
Drive planning activities to ensure optimal utilization of workforce and equipment to meet production goals.
Monitor production target completion by each operator and track planned vs. actual work across all shifts.
Analyze gaps in planned vs. actual production, resolve issues, take corrective actions, and deploy solutions horizontally to prevent recurrence.
Identify pain areas and implement continual improvement projects to reduce rework, rejections, and enhance productivity.
Evaluate the need for new machines or manufacturing methods; assess current processes based on efficiency, speed, and quality.
Optimize facility layout, production lines, machine operations, and logistics for smooth material flow and system integration.
Ensure effective coordination between shift engineers and planning team to meet production timelines and standards.
Coordinate with stakeholders to ensure timely availability of materials on production lines to prevent downtime.
Conduct timely on-job training for workers to make them multi-skilled; evaluate training effectiveness to reduce defects and complaints.
Ensure compliance with customer-specific requirements and train all personnel accordingly.
Coordinate between shift engineers and maintenance team to address machine breakdowns promptly and improve machine uptime.
Support the R&D team in timely productionization of new product developments.
Ensure prompt resolution of customer complaints in collaboration with the Technical Service team and prevent repeat issues.
Ensure adherence to QMS, IATF, EMS, OHSAS guidelines, and meet customer audit requirements.
Collaborate with vendors, suppliers, and contract agencies to ensure timely availability of required parts.
Promote and implement zero defect methodology across the plant.
Maintain traceability of all new product developments.
Identify 4M changes (Man, Machine, Method, Material) in the process and discuss daily action implementation.
Define worker responsibilities and establish evaluation procedures to reduce rework and rejection; provide efficiency training.
Prepare and ensure adherence to process documents, check sheets, and control plans. Possess in-depth knowledge of FMEA, APQP, PPAP, 7QC, CAPA, 5 Core Quality Tools, 5S, etc.
Establish and maintain processes for material identification and part traceability.
Ensure proper handling of non-conforming (NC) materials across the shop floor per defined protocols.
Ensure adherence to the preventive maintenance schedule and implement corrective actions to minimize breakdowns.
Utilize quality tools to identify and eliminate defects at the workstation level.
Ensure effective utilization of tools, consumables, energy, and manpower to minimize variable costs.
Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations. Evaluate hazards, redesign or relocate equipment as needed, and participate in audits to achieve zero accidents.
Analyze manufacturing data to identify trends and improvement opportunities; apply lean, TPM, TQM, etc., and prepare relevant reports.
Lead corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) for manufacturing issues; ensure implementation and effectiveness of actions.
Upgrade systems and processes using new technology; apply lean tools, TPM, TQM, and Six Sigma to reduce waste.
Monitor stock levels, manpower planning, machine calibration, FIFO management, and ERP entries including shift-wise production data.
